Complete Physical Rehabilitation and Therapy Services

At our "New Body" Physical Therapy Center, we combine complete rehabilitative services with advanced diagnostic and exercise equipment to provide progressive treatment for injuries including back strain, whiplash, hand, shoulder and knee injuries, as well as post-operative strengthening.

Our licensed Physical Therapists also specialize in the treatment of trauma-related cases resulting from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries and work-site accidents.

Task-related education and work hardening are utilized to assist injured workers in achieving restored work capacity and in preventing injury recurrence.  Our goal is to help patients reach their maximum level of recovery in the shortest possible time.

Computerized Diagnostic Equipment

Our computerized diagnostic equipment accurately assesses strength and body movement to provide a basis for measuring a patient's progress during rehabilitation.

We can also obtain comparison measurements of extremities to assist in predicting the maximum benefit attained through treatment and evaluating a patient's positive efforts to improve upon and achieve a maximum level of progress.

Back School

At the "NEW BODY" Physical Therapy Center, we provide a unique, innovative approach to total rehabilitation through education and practical applications.

Our Back School offers lectures and demonstrations on virtually every component of low back injury prevention including:

  • Proper posture
  • Lifting techniques
  • Exercise protocols

Also, we incorporate the use of audiovisual aids in reinforcing the important concepts of injury prevention.

Occupational Medical Services

Work Hardening Program

As the final phase in total injury rehabilitation, work hardening therapy involves recovering individuals in real or simulated work-related activities as a means of treatment.

Our Work Hardening Program also includes a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), which is an intensive evaluation process designed to determine an employee's physical ability to perform work.  Utilizing data from the evaluation enables our highly trained staff to make recommendations concerning whether a patient can safely return to full duty employment or what, if any, limitations may exist.

Ergonomic Job Analysis

Evaluating a patient's work environment allows us to identify factors which may cause excessive physical stress which results in work-related injury.  Ergonomic job analysis includes:

  • Using video, still photography, and load and distance measurements at the job site.
  • Determining a patient's physical ability to safely perform job tasks.
  • Recommending modifications to the immediate work environment, if need be, to enable the patient to meet job demands in a safe manner.
